NACOM is a unique Safe Slide measurable that combines multiple certifications into one score to identify the overall expertise of an individual or team.

The Safe Slide NACOM Accreditation Program is a premier, industry-driven accreditation program that validates Safe Slide’s safety systems, project management qualifications, coatings preparation and application qualifications. The NACOM Certification process is an employee development program that has a focus on customer satisfaction from the top down, resulting in a robust accreditation program that endorses only employees who have demonstrated capabilities and competencies necessary to meet Safe Slide requirements.

NACOM is designed and guided by years of service in the waterpark industry to serve as a vital tool to equip our employees and service our customers with confidence. In this comprehensive and innovative program, our Technicians have a transparent, industry-designed, and driven mechanism for improving service quality and reducing risks.

Technicians that earn accreditation through NACOM’s training process distinguish themselves as elite Technicians by demonstrating the highest levels of specialty knowledge, product and service quality, and organizational achievement.

Waterparks can be confident they are better protected by hiring NACOM Certified Technicians who are able to meet customer expectations in a safe and efficient manner, saving them time and money in the long run.

Certifications

We are certified by the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA), which provides a forum for the composites industry to develop and enhance shared opportunities, as well as address common challenges.

Safe Slide uses up-to-date color charts and inspection methods to ensure that your slide receives an accurate gel coat color match.

ACMA provides training with CCT Certifications, a program that has given Safe Slide the resources to understand composites while restoring your rides and slides.

Navigating closed-flume slides and tight spaces is important for water park restoration. This course provided by OSHA is implemented by our crews to perform our job safely and confidently in narrow enclosures by recognizing and avoiding common hazards.

The California Contractors State License Board protects the aquatics industry through policies and regulation of the restoration process that your park will follow.

AMPP, the Association for Materials Protection and Performance, is a global community of professionals dedicated to materials protection through the advancement of corrosion control and protective coatings.

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is a group of analysis techniques used to evaluate the properties of a material, component, or system without causing damage. Because NDT is a safe option for the structure or support that is being inspected, it is a valuable option that can save both time and money in product evaluation, troubleshooting, and research.

With the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, Congress created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to ensure safe and healthful working conditions for workers by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance.

Amusement Industry Manufacturers & Suppliers International, AIMS, is a non-profit international organization that represents amusement industry manufacturers, suppliers, organizations, and individuals that have a deep and abiding interest in supplying products or services to the Amusement Industry.

The Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT) is a member-driven organization that advances the safe use of rope access through education, standards development, and certification administration. SPRAT is a 501c6 non-profit organization In addition, SPRAT supports companies and technicians using rope access with regulatory support, networking, and opportunities to participate in developing industry-consensus standards.

Affiliations

Founded in 1918, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) is the largest international trade association for amusement facilities worldwide. Safe Slide Restoration represents one of more than 4,300 members from more than 97 countries.

Safe Slide is one of the 1,000 members of the World Waterpark Association (WWA) which are located in more than 40 countries throughout the world. Their members fall in one of two categories: Park Members or Supplier Members. As a Supplier Member, we work with the WWA to service some of the largest waterparks in the world to repair, restore, and keep water slides safe for all who enjoy our industries epic wet rides.

For almost fifty years, the NRPA has partnered with forward thinking corporate and philanthropic leaders to support positive change in local communities across the country through parks and recreation.
